Job summary

New Day My Way, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist our part-time individuals in Trumbull and Mahoning County with developmental disabilities. You will help clients lead independent and integrated lives by supporting daily living activities, promoting community inclusion, and advocating for their rights.

Responsibilities include community outings, direct care, household tasks, personal care, and fostering joy in activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Commitment to confidentiality and DODD regulations.
• Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take clients into the community using your vehicle to attend events or appointments.
• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, promoting independence and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance including ADLs.
• Foster joy and inclusion during activities and outings.
