Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals in Trumbull, CT, to support adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities. The role focuses on ADLs, promoting independence and community integration, while safeguarding safety, dignity, and well-being.

The DSP collaborates with managers, providers, and families to implement individualized care plans, helps clients maintain jobs, and participates in everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking, and light cleaning.

Qualifications

• Must be able to document care given in English and communicate with clients and co-workers verbally and in writing.
• Ability to stand, move, twist, bend, kneel, reach, lift and walk for most of the shift; occasional lifting up to 100lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal prep.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs; support medical appointments.
