Job summary

RHA Health Services in Tennessee is hiring a Direct Support Mentor (Regular) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and substance use challenges. This role involves assisting the Group Home Supervisor with daily tasks and supervising activities during evening shifts.

You will train new staff, help with fire drills and meal assessments, and complete essential documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Group Home Supervisor with fire drills, meal time assessments and other tasks.
• Train new staff on processes throughout the home.
• Complete a grocery list for the Group Home Manager as directed.
• Assist with pre-employment screening and required credentialing as applicable.

We are hiring for:

Direct Support Mentor Type: Regular

Hours: 4P - 12A including some weekends

• Assists the Group Home Supervisor with fire drills, meal time assessments and other various forms.
• Trains new staff on processes throughout the home.
• Completes a grocery list for the Group Home Manager as directed.
• Pre-employment screening:
  • Complete criminal background
  • Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
• Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
