Job summary

Life Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional-Community Living Float to provide person-centered daily living support across multiple sites.

You will gain leadership experience, guided by the Program Director, while delivering care and documenting activities to ensure safety and progress. Responsibilities include helping individuals with daily tasks, attending community activities, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with ISP/BSP and state rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience providing person-centered support to people with disabilities.
• Must complete MODD Level 3 within 9 months of hire.
• Must complete Philosophy of Supervision training within a year of hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrate patience, professionalism, and compassion.
• Comfortable working with individuals of all genders.
• No disqualifying felony and no substantiated abuse/neglect in MO.
• Reliable transportation for transporting clients.
• Demonstrate safe practices in all areas.
• Must obtain Class E driver’s license and carry required auto insurance.
• Must receive Seasonal Flu Vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, person-centered services meeting ISP/BSP requirements.
• Follow ISP/BSP guidance and applicable supervision for each individual.
• Support activities promoting independence and community integration.
• Complete documentation on shift; ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
• Administer medications per MAR and monitor self-medication safety.
