Job summary

Sunrise Community of Southwest Florida, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support professional to provide supervision and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a community setting. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and fostering independence.

The candidate will assist with daily activities, scheduling, and adherence to regulatory requirements, while maintaining a positive, supportive environment for the individuals served.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with endorsements and have driving experience (minimum 3 years).
• Pre-employment background and drug screenings required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residential Program Director in providing supervision.
• Ensure training, behavior and support plans are implemented and documented.
• Maintain health, safety and well-being of individuals.
• Provide a positive environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Schedule staff, doctors' appointments, vehicle maintenance, and groceries as assigned.
• Monitor compliance with agency directives, licensing standards, and policies.
