Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support professional in Naples, FL to provide support and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, enabling them to live valued lives in the community.

This role requires driving responsibility and a commitment to person-centered care. The position involves following individualized plans, ensuring safety, documenting progress, and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with endorsements and have at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent if required by work location.
• Minimum one year of experience in the human service field if required by work location.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports suspected abuse or violations of an individual's rights.
• Provides support, assistance and supervision to meet individuals' needs and goals.
• Ensures training, behavior and support plans are implemented and documented per regulations.
• Ensures health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Provides a positive environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Follows positioning schedules and uses equipment per plan.
• Assists with diet, texture and equipment as required.
• Keeps homes, outdoor areas and vehicles well maintained.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
