Job summary

REM Community Services, part of Sevita, is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community-based settings. The role offers full-time hours, Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm, and requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

You will help with personal care, promote independence, and assist participants in daily activities while building meaningful relationships and supporting community participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered caregiving to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Help participants grow, learn, and live well through supportive activities.
• Build real relationships and foster community involvement for participants.
• Support participants in achieving personal goals, budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Follow Sevita policies and ensure safety and quality in daily care.
