Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, is hiring caregivers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with personal care and help participants engage in community activities, while building meaningful relationships and teamwork with staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene.
• Support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Encourage participation in community activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and care teams.
