Job summary

Turning Point of Central California, Inc. is seeking a Direct Service Professional to support residents in achieving treatment goals under supervision.

The role emphasizes direct care, documentation, and active participation in treatment programs within the facility. The position requires a minimum of six months' direct care experience with developmentally disabled individuals, English communication, and the ability to complete required trainings and certifications.

Qualifications

• Six months' prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to write acceptable progress reports for treatment documentation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and physical, drug screen, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the accomplishment of the treatment plan for residents under the supervision of the Program Director.
• Maintain case recording documentation per agency guidelines.
• Transport patients to doctors' appointments and labs.
• Conduct daily living skills sessions and socialization groups.
• Attend staff meetings and weekly supervision with the Program Director.
• Participate in trainings, seminars, and practicum.
• Support residents in treatment programs and encourage participation.
• Motivate residents to develop self-reliance in daily living.
• Observe patients' condition and report changes to the Program Director.
• Respond to emergency health situations as trained.
• Work requires physical presence at the program.
