Job summary

Turning Point of Central California, Inc. is seeking a Direct Service Professional to support residents in achieving treatment goals under the Program Director's supervision.

The role focuses on delivering direct care, maintaining documentation, and facilitating daily living skills within a safety-conscious environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma, some college units, and at least 6 months of direct care experience with developmentally disabled individuals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; some college units in social service or related field.
• 6 months direct care experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Minimum age 21 under CA Health & Safety Code.
• Communicate effectively in English; write progress reports for treatment.
• Certified in emergency first aid prior to working alone with residents.
• Valid driver's license and a dependable insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accomplishing the treatment plan under the Program Director.
• Maintain case recording documentation per agency guidelines.
• Transport residents to doctors' appointments and labs.
• Conduct daily living skills sessions and re-socialization groups.
• Attend staff meetings including weekly supervision with the Program Director.
• Participate in trainings and staff development activities.
• Support residents in participating in treatment activities and group programs.
• Encourage self-reliance in daily living and monitor resident condition.
