Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Direct Sales Representative to sell internet, video, home phone, and mobile services. You will receive paid training, sales tools, and in-field support from management to help you meet and exceed targets.

Ideal candidates are driven, customer-focused and able to work in a fast-paced field environment with travel within the territory and flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year direct sales or outside sales experience preferred but not required.
• Sales-driven, team-player with a positive people orientation.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with internet-related devices.
• Ability to travel to assigned territories and work flexible hours.
• Some cities require permits for door-to-door sales; complete city application.

Responsibilities

• Obtain sales by canvassing door to door and meet/exceed targets.
• Complete paperwork and present payment options to customers.
• Canvass door-to-door daily from 11am–8pm.
• Receive performance updates from supervisor/manager.
• Travel within Mediacom territory; state-to-state trips may occur.
• Assist in team meetings, trainings, and community events.
