Job summary

National General is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive growth by generating new business, cross-selling to existing customers, and building lasting relationships. You will sell to local customers in person and over the phone, while expanding through community involvement and outside marketing.

Expect to cultivate relationships with dealerships and local partners, conduct outbound prospecting, and collaborate with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations
