Job summary

Franklin Energy is seeking a field service professional to install, inspect, modify, and service direct load control devices for residential markets. The role requires basic HVAC aptitude, electrical/mechanical understanding, and strong customer-facing communication.

Occasional weekend travel and on-call rotation are part of the job. Applicants should have a high school diploma, 1–3 years in related tech areas, and a proactive, safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years in wiring, lighting, HVAC, or related tech fields preferred.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude is necessary.
• Basic construction knowledge and building science/energy auditing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove and service DLC devices.
• Demonstrate basic HVAC technical aptitude.
• Read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Ensure safety and quality standards in all tasks.
• Provide professional appearance and customer-facing communication.
• Travel to job sites, possibly on weekends; participate in On-Call rotation.
