Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a RCC Direct Lending Credit Manager I to oversee underwriting, credit policy and risk controls for the Regional Credit Center across multiple states. You will lead a team of up to 20 specialists, drive compliance with state and federal regulations, and partner with Mortgage/Retail/AP teams to optimize growth while protecting credit quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years management experience in Consumer Lending, Banking, Financial Services.
• Minimum 5 years consumer credit experience.
• Ability to negotiate with others and build consensus.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and external customers.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong presentation/public speaking skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and tasks.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• SAFE Act registration at time of employment via NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Manage development, implementation and monitoring of lending procedures for the RCC functions.
• Direct Lending underwriting to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Proactively manage production and efficiencies meeting credit and service quality standards.
• Manage cost of production per unit to meet revenue initiatives.
• Develop cooperative relationships with key business partners across divisions and with external customers.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Risk Management, Retail Administration, Compliance and Residential Mortgage to maximize sales and manage risk.
• Partner with RCC Direct Lending Manager to identify and implement improvements to increase productivity.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Affiliate Banks through regular onsite visits and presentations.
