Job summary

Fifth Third Bank Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Direct Lending Credit Manager I to oversee underwriting, credit decisions, and cross‑functional risk control across Affiliate operations. You will lead a team, align lending practices with policy, and drive efficiency in the Regional Credit Center while partnering with Mortgage, Risk, Product, and Compliance teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in consumer lending, strong leadership, and excellent communication, negotiation, and project management

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience.
5+ years management experience in Consumer Lending, Banking, Financial Services.
Ability to negotiate with others and build consensus.
Ability to interact with all levels of management and external customers.
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee development and monitoring of lending procedures for Regional Credit Center.
Manage Direct Lending underwriting and credit decisions in compliance with policies and regulations.
Drive production efficiency and service quality for the RCC.
Collaborate with partners across divisions to maximize sales and manage risk.
Mentor and develop up to 20 staff, guiding performance and succession planning.
