Job summary

NSC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Direct Hire Recruiting Manager to lead our direct-hire recruiting efforts across NSC and its subsidiaries. This hands-on leadership role partners with teams to drive recruiting activity, performance, and successful placements.

You'll coach recruiters, manage job orders, monitor pipelines, and use metrics to raise the bar. The role blends leadership with active involvement in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate engagement.

Qualifications

• Direct-hire or permanent placement recruiting experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring recruiters.
• Strong understanding of recruiting KPIs and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Strong sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, accountable, and team-oriented approach.
• Experience supporting multiple business units or industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day recruiting operations and coach the team.
• Assign and prioritize direct-hire job orders across the team.
• Monitor activity, pipelines, submissions, interviews, and placements.
• Establish daily and weekly recruiting priorities.
• Track recruiting metrics and use data to drive performance.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team check-ins.
• Coach recruiters on sourcing, candidate qualification, follow-up, and strategy.
• Support recruiters with high-priority searches.
• Engage in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate engagement.
• Coordinate calls among candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and clients.
• Partner with leadership to understand hiring needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and results.
• Support onboarding and development of recruiting team members.
• Foster culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
