Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring a Direct Care Worker (DSP) in Minnesota. The role involves supporting individuals with identified needs through person-centered care and building meaningful relationships in a residential setting.

Asleep Overnight, Standard, and Advanced DSP pay tiers are offered, starting at $13.96, $17.00, and $18.00 per hour, with potential increases after six months and a $2,000 hiring bonus. Training and career growth opportunities are available within LSS.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or formal education required; training provided.
• Comfort with basic computer use to document care and stay connected with the team.
• Ability to read and write in English for clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships and provide guidance, encouragement, and support.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, hygiene, meals, and transportation.
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills.
• Advocate for rights, needs, and preferences of people served.
• Monitor health and well-being and report changes as needed.
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings.
• Work in a residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people.
• Collaborate with a mission-driven team focused on dignity, respect, and inclusion.

Direct Care Worker with 2000 Hiring Bonus

Looking for a job where you can make a real difference every day? As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at LSS, you’ll support people with identified needs as they pursue their hopes, dreams, and goals through person‑centered care.

Asleep Overnight DSP Pay:

• $13.96/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $14.46/hr!
• $2,000 Hiring Bonus!*

Standard DSP Pay:

• $17.00/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $17.50/hr!
• $2,000 Hiring Bonus!*

Advanced DSP Pay:

• $18.00/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $18.50/hr!
• $2,000 Hiring Bonus!*

What You’ll Do:

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support
