Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Fergus Falls. You will support individuals with identified needs by providing person-centered care, helping them engage in their community, and assisting with daily living tasks.

Offering a starting pay of $16.00/hr with a $2,500 hiring bonus and numerous benefits including childcare assistance, medical and dental plans, and generous PTO. No prior experience is required as training will be provided.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or formal education required; training provided.
• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
• Ability to advocate for people with identified needs.

Standard DSP Pay:

• $16.00/hr!
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase to $16.50/hr!
• $2,500 Hiring Bonus!

Awake Overnight DSP Pay:

• Awake Overnight DSP pays $16.00/hr.
• Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase up to $16.50/hr.
• $2,500 Hiring Bonus!

What You'll Do:

• Build meaningful relationships while providing guidance, encouragement, and support
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, hygiene needs, meals, household support/cleaning, and transportation
• Support community involvement, social connections, and independent living skills
• Advocate for people with identified needs’ rights, needs, and preferences
• Monitor health and wellbeing and report changes as needed
• Complete required documentation and participate in training and team meetings

Work Environment:

• Residential group home setting supporting up to 4 people with identified needs
