Job summary

Compass Connections seeks compassionate individuals for a direct-care role at our Baytown, TX facility. The position runs 2pm-10pm and requires fluency in English and Spanish, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year of child welfare experience.

CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred, with opportunities for growth within a safety-focused team. Responsibilities include supervising children, documenting progress, and assisting with treatment plans while maintaining a safe, respectful

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• 1 year of child welfare or related social services experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• First aid, CPR, and Emergency Behavior Intervention certifications preferred.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Meet federal and state regulatory guidelines applicable to the position.
• Document serious incidents, daily progress, and activities accurately and timely.
• Assist with orientation of new children and staff.
• Contribute to development of treatment plans when requested.
• Use positive child management techniques including redirection and de-escalation.
• Plan and supervise activities according to the daily schedule.
• Maintain living areas and supervise daily chores; report maintenance needs.
