Job summary

Compass Connections operates emergency shelter and group home placements for children in Robstown, Texas, and is currently seeking compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team at the facility. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, a high school diploma, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred or college coursework in human services.
• Caregiving or child welfare experience preferred; 1 year minimum required.
• First aid, CPR, and Emergency behavior intervention certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet regulatory guidelines and document incidents, progress and activities.
• Assist with orientation of new children and staff and contribute to treatment planning.
• Provide positive behavior support, de-escalation, and supervise daily activities.
• Maintain living area cleanliness, records, and secure campus environment.
• Communicate respectfully with children, families, and agency staff.
• Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
