Compass Connections is hiring a Direct Care Worker in Harlingen, TX, to support children in a shelter/group home setting. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, a high school diploma, and 1 year of child welfare experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred two-year associate degree or two+ years of college in human services.
• First aid, CPR, and emergency behavior intervention certifications preferred.
• 1 year of experience in child welfare or related social services required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct supervision of children during shift and document daily progress.
• Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures to maintain a secure campus.
• Assist with orientation and development of treatment plans as needed.
• Use positive behavior management techniques and support daily routines for children.
