Job summary

Wee Care Corporation in Arizona seeks Direct Care Workers to provide safe, respectful support to individuals with developmental disabilities as they build independence and work toward personal goals.

You will review care plans, coordinate shifts around routines and measurable goals, and document shift notes to ensure consistent progress and quality care.

Qualifications

• Genuine motivation to positively impact lives.
• Familiarity with developmental disabilities valued.
• Experience promoting self-esteem/advocacy preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and Article 9 training are strong plus; classes provided.
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance and Introduction to Developmental Disabilities certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

The Position

Wee Care Corp is seeking Direct Care Workers to provide safe, respectful support to individuals with developmental disabilities as they build independence and work toward personal goals. This role exists to strengthen daily functioning, confidence, and progress through consistent, evidence-based assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support aligned with each individual’s plan and goals
• Encourage empowerment, self-esteem, and skill development
• Communicate clearly and professionally with a customer-focused approach
• Maintain safety, integrity, and accurate documentation as required

Required qualifications/skills

• Experience promoting self-esteem/advocacy (preferred)

Shift at a Glance

During evening, night, and weekend shifts, you’ll review the individuals care plan and goals, recent updates or changes, plan your shift around routines and measurable goals. Your time will include steady support and coaching, with intentional pauses to encourage independence and maintain a calm pace, keep communication clear and respectful, and finish by documenting shift notes.
