Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or in residential settings is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse interactions.

• Ability to respond calmly in crisis situations with problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in basic documentation.
• Must pass NM Department of Health background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a positive, supportive relationship with residents, ensuring well-being and safety.
• Provide assistance and training in daily living activities, meal prep, hygiene, and chores.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate group activities and social events to encourage engagement.
• Support residents in budgeting, transportation, and job readiness for independence.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report concerns to the supervisor.
• Foster a culturally inclusive environment that respects diversity and self-advocacy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care.

Job Summary:

As a Direct Care Support Worker, you will provide a key role in providing support and guidance to individuals who have developmental disabilities living in a residential setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to live independently and lead fulfilling lives. Working closely with a diverse group of residents, fostering a safe and inclusive environment that promotes personal growth and empowerment.

This position includes morning, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Starting pay: $16.50, additional differentials, incentives, and bonuses applicable for hourly rates above $16.50.

Hours: Full-time; Flexible shifts including days, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age.


• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a residential setting is highly desirable.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.


• Demonstrated understanding and respect for the rights and privacy of individuals in a residential setting.


• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations, demonstrating problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.


• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.


• Proficiency in basic documentation.


• Must pass NM Department of Health background check and drug screening.
