Job summary

Berkshire County Arc is seeking Direct Care Professionals to support residents in daily living, including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and transportation to appointments and activities.

You will work with individuals to promote independence, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with staff, families, and program participants. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year of Direct Care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Professionals assist individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities.
• Works closely with individuals to help them become as independent as possible and to meet personal goals.
• Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency.
• Effective communication with other staff, family members and individuals is required.
