Job summary

Berkshire County Arc is seeking Direct Care Professionals to support individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and transportation to appointments and activities.

This full-time hourly role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and 1+ year of Direct Care experience. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, and tuition assistance.

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• 1+ year of Direct Care experience.

• Maintain accurate and complete records and communicate effectively with staff, family and individuals.

Responsibilities:

Direct Care Professionals assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license, Insured vehicle
• Must have 1+ year(s) previous Direct Care experience
