Berkshire County Arc, Inc. in Pittsfield, MA is hiring Direct Care Professionals to assist individuals with daily living, personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and transportation to appointments and activities.

This full-time hourly position offers a base pay of $23.00 per hour, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, flexible day hours, and opportunities for health benefits, vacation, sick and personal time, plus tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people who have disabilities.
• Valid driver's license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and meals.
• Support participation in appointments and recreational activities.

Responsibilities

Direct Care Professionals assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required. Hours must remain flexible and are assigned by the direct supervisor in accordance with program operational needs.
