Job description

Job Responsibilities

Perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy. Evaluate, write, and present healthcare utilization and cost containment reports, providing recommendations based on findings. Execute data science and statistical experiments systematically to address various healthcare challenges.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Lead strategic analysis and planning for health plans, coordinating across business units to meet data analysis goals.
  • Mentor and guide team members, setting departmental priorities aligned with operational plans, budgets, and regulations.
  • Conduct deep dive analyses across health plans, offering actionable insights to optimize revenue and meet enterprise goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities within Medicaid/Medicare/Marketplace, develop analytical frameworks, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on Payment Integrity campaigns, evaluate performance, and develop insights for future improvements.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to diverse audiences and manage analytical project delivery.
  • Explore data solutions and technological opportunities, referring to appropriate teams for implementation.
  • Apply statistical and computational methods to provide actionable healthcare insights.
  • Develop automated processes for large-scale data analysis, model development, validation, and deployment.
  • Design and utilize algorithms for big data mining, data error analysis, and model enhancement.
  • Innovate approaches for data exploration, feature selection, and analysis from multidimensional datasets.
  • Analyze data trends and patterns, interpreting results with clear objectives.
  • Utilize tools such as Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad, Apache Superset, and relevant Python packages.
  • Build patient-focused population predictions and provider activity outlier detection models.
Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 5 years leading healthcare analytics functions; 7 years preferred in healthcare settings. Proficiency with Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad, and Apache Superset. Familiarity with relational databases and SDLC. Demonstrated critical thinking skills in unstructured problem-solving.

Physical Demands
