Dir, Data Science & Analytics - AI Governance - Remote
Job Summary: Perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy. Evaluate, write, and present healthcare utilization and cost containment reports, providing recommendations based on findings. Execute data science and statistical experiments to address healthcare challenges.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Lead strategic analysis and planning across health plans and coordinate with business units.
- Mentor and guide team members.
- Identify departmental priorities aligned with operational, budgetary, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform deep dive analyses, provide actionable insights, and collaborate to optimize revenue outcomes.
- Monitor Medicaid/Medicare/Marketplace policies and develop analytical frameworks for business cases.
- Design Payment Integrity campaigns, evaluate performance, and develop insights for future campaigns.
- Present complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences.
- Manage analytical projects and identify data solutions and technology opportunities.
- Apply statistical and computational methods to generate actionable healthcare insights.
- Develop automated processes for large-scale data analysis, model validation, and implementation.
- Devise algorithms and models to mine big data, improve models, and ensure data quality.
- Explore new approaches for data analysis, feature selection, and large-scale data exploration.
- Analyze data trends, interpret findings, and utilize industry tools and languages such as Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala, Toad, and Apache Superset.
- Implement Python packages for patient population predictions and provider activity outliers.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field.
- At least 5 years of leading healthcare analytics functions; 7 years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Impala SQL, Toad, and Apache Superset.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SDLC concepts.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to organize unstructured problems.
