R.J. Corman's My Old Kentucky Dinner Train in Bardstown, KY is seeking a Reservationist to join the team. You will handle call-in bookings, review availability, and help build seating charts for excursions.

The role emphasizes customer service, coordination with operations, and accurate record-keeping. The position requires strong communication, basic cash handling, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning, ticketing, or excursion operations preferred.
• Knowledge of customer service and hospitality best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations, food service, and guest relations teams.
• Experience handling telephone inquiries and booking reservations.
• Proficient with computer systems, reservation software, and MS Office.
• Experience processing payments and handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Strong attention to detail when managing seating and requests.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as customer service for call-ins requesting to book or needing information.
• Review upcoming excursion availability and special requests.
• Assist with building seating chart for excursions.
• Complete the seating chart for each excursion taking into account customer requests, groups, and staff considerations.
• Assist with handling the tickets at the depot and making boarding announcements.
• Receive, charge, package and ship orders for gifts and shop sales.
• Work with Group Sales & Guest Relations Manager on all group sales aspects.
• Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings to discuss safety, events and issues.
• Keep management informed of customer requests for additional unscheduled runs.
• Make customer satisfaction the highest priority.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
