Job summary

Jazzboline Restaurant, Bar & Ballroom in Amherst, NY seeks an experienced Dinner Line Cook to craft menu items for our à la carte dinner service with focus on quality, consistency, and presentation.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of professional cooking experience, can operate a sauté or hot-line station, and works well in a fast-paced kitchen. Dinner shifts, weekends, and holidays required; compensation is hourly with benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional cooking experience preferred.
• Experience operating a sauté, grill, or hot-line station.
• Strong knowledge of professional cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during dinner service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Independently manage an assigned cooking station, including setup, stocking, and breakdown.
• Execute dinner orders accurately during high-volume service.
• Coordinate with line cooks and leadership to maintain timing and execution.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, rotation, and sanitation practices.
• Assist with additional kitchen tasks as needed.
