Brookdale Senior Living in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Dining Services Associate to greet and seat residents, supervise dining staff in the absence of the Manager, and maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment.

This role requires reading/writing English, ability to stand and move for long periods, and a friendly, energetic personality. A high school diploma and ServSafe certification are preferred, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Minimum of one to two years related experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat residents and guests; oversee dining services staff in the absence of the Manager.
• Assist Manager with daily supervision of dining services associates.
• Ensure smooth opening/closing of the dining room and timely room service deliveries.
• Maintain a pleasant, clean dining environment; ensure meals are palatable and appetizing.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards; plan daily menu for residents per standards.
• Assist in staffing coverage for each shift and help with weekly schedules under budget guidelines.
• Help in resident billing of food services charges and supervise events.
• In consultation with Director, hire/train/discipline staff per policy; maintain good inter-department rapport.
