Job summary

Friendship Village in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a friendly Part-Time Food Server to support our Assisted Living and Memory Care dining room.

You will be the main contact for residents, help seat guests, take orders, and ensure timely delivery of meals with a focus on cleanliness and resident satisfaction. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (not required) and experience serving tables; strong communication in English and a customer-service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience serving tables in hotel/restaurant is desirable.
• Ability to interpret and explain the menu and respond to questions.
• Ability to work with residents, guests, families and staff with courtesy.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English; follow instructions.
• Commitment to cleanliness and safety; thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for resident interactions in the dining room.
• Prepare dining tables with cleanliness and organization.
• Attend to residents as they arrive in the dining area.
• Present menus and assist residents in choosing food and beverages.
• Take food and beverage orders and communicate to kitchen staff promptly.
• Deliver and serve items quickly and confirm correct items delivered.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and surfaces according to schedule.
• Assist in transporting food and items to dining or resident rooms.
