Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Dining Service Supervisor to lead daily dining room operations for residents and guests in a on-site setting. The role involves hands-on supervision of dining staff, coordination with the culinary team, and upholding dining room standards to ensure timely, professional service.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in high-volume dining with strong customer service, supervisory experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-volume dining setting with strong customer service focus.
• Florida Safe Staff Certification required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Supervisory leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise dining room operations during service.
• Direct, assign, and monitor server and dining room team tasks.
• Operate and train on the POS system.
• Support pre-service huddles and communicate menu changes and events.
• Monitor service and provide direction to servers during peak times.
• Model professional service and gracious hospitality.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and complete duties.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional dining environment.
• Anticipate resident/guest needs and address requests promptly.
• Conduct table touches and follow up on concerns.
• Resolve routine issues and escalate when necessary.
• Monitor resident feedback and report recurring concerns to leadership.
• Develop relationships with residents and note preferences.
• Monitor order accuracy, ticket times, and service flow.
• Ensure menus, table settings, and dining stations are well maintained.
• Adjust pace to maintain efficient service.
• Support special events, private dining, and catered functions.
• Train new staff on standards, procedures, and resident hospitality.
• Provide coaching and real-time feedback to dining room staff.
