Job summary

Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager for Corcoran Commons to manage daily dining operations, lead staff, and ensure high standards of service and confidentiality.

Requires 3–5 years in food and beverage with supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate employees; includes opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's Degree required or equivalent combination of experience.
• Serv Safe Food Safety Certification.
• Three to five-years food and beverage experience in progressively responsible positions.
• Supervisory experience with ability to motivate staff.
• High quality standards and knowledge of food service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate work assignments and expectations to staff.
• Participate in hiring and interviewing prospective applicants.
• Schedule and adjust overtime; call in off-duty staff as needed.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate staff performance.
• Manage and monitor cashier functions, reports, and revenue records.
• Coordinate catered events and related logistics.
