Job summary

Chartwells K-12, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Dining Services Manager to lead a team of food service professionals and oversee the main dining room and special functions. You will work to maintain strong interdepartmental relations and align dining operations with the facility plan.

The role emphasizes menu development with the Chef, driving quality, sanitation, and customer satisfaction while assisting with budgeting, cost controls, and quarterly client reporting in a school dining

Qualifications

• 2 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Waited table and catering experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Financial, budgeting and accounting skills.
• Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees dining services operations.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints.
• Assists with budgeting and profitability for the account.
• Collaborates with Chef and management on menu creation and food quality.
• Manages food service activities with sanitation and infection control.
• Supports rollout of new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Prepares quarterly client reports.
