Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in the United States is seeking a Dining Services Manager to lead a team of food service professionals in a hospital dining setting and ensure quality service in the main dining room and special functions.

You will collaborate with the Chef and management team on menus, manage budgets, uphold sanitation and safety standards, and drive service excellence aligned with Compass Group USA.

Qualifications

• 2 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Waited table and catering experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet.
• ServSafe Certification is preferred.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees dining services operations of a medium to large volume location.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assists with profit and loss and budgeting as it pertains to this account.
• Works with the Chef and management team on menus and maintaining top quality food.
• Supports all food service-related activities and meal services in a seated dining room, with focus on sanitation and infection control.
• Assists with rollout of new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Prepares quarterly client-facing reports.
• Collaborates with marketing and culinary to increase sales through food quality and innovations.
