Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is hiring a Dining Services Department Manager to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility in California.

You will oversee food service operations, ensure quality and safety standards, manage staff, and maintain records in compliance with regulations and HCSG policies. Join us to positively impact residents and staff, participate in training, and support a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Dietetic Services Supervisor (DSS) credential, or 4 year degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required.
• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision preferred.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within first 14 days.
• Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within first 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures.
• Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.
