Senior Lifestyle Corporation's Castle Pointe at Baywinde in Webster, NY, seeks a Director of Dining Services to oversee day-to-day dining operations, ensure safety and quality, and manage budgets and staffing.

The role requires 3+ years in food service, a focus on customer service, and certifications like Serv Safe; responsibilities include menu execution, compliance with health regulations, and leading the dining team to deliver hospitality with dignity and independence to residents.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of previous Food Service experience required.
• Management experience is not required but a plus.
• Serv Safe and/or other required local, county or state certifications.
• You have the ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
• You have a positive and professional attitude and are good at giving clear direction in a respectful demeanor.
• You take pride in the quality and presentation of food that you have helped to prepare, as well as the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas that you work within.
• You have a generous amount of patience and the ability to effectively communicate with many different types of personalities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day to day operations of all dining services at the community.
• Manage purchasing of all dining food and nonfood items with 95% DSSI ordering compliance.
• Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies.
• Utilize standard recipes for food production.
• Ensure proper food temperatures and portions for safety and palatability.
• Adhere to residents’ prescribed diets when applicable.
• Drive satisfaction through resident choice, dignity, and independence in dining.
• Develop and implement dining area operating and sanitation procedures.
• Conduct pre-meal dining briefings with service staff.
• Ensure compliance with health dept. regulations and acts as dietary rep during inspections.
• Maintain clean dining areas and complete monthly sanitation audits.
• Interview, train, hire, discipline, and manage dining staff; schedule personnel to meet labor budgets.
