Job summary

The Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford, CT is hiring a Dining Services Associate for DAY/EVENING shifts. This role supports resident meal service, food preparation and sanitation according to department standards.

It is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week and every-other-weekend coverage. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, on-the-job training, and the ability to read and follow directions in English, work well in a team, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess unit service needs for food, paper, dishware and sanitation.
• Restock cabinets and collect diet lists, menus and meal tickets.
• Set up service areas, take temperatures and record where required.
• Serve resident meals according to CNA orders.
• Clean and sanitize service areas, utensils and carts after meals.
• Return soiled items and unused food to the dish room after meals.
• Maintain dish machine sanitation and return serving utensils to the unit after meals.
• Inventory items needed for the next shift and place in kitchen mailbox.
• Complete sanitation checklist and submit to supervisor before leaving.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Dining Services Associate (DAY/EVENING SHIFT)

DAY/EVENING SHIFT - 40 HOUR WEEKLY INCLUSIVE OF EVERY OTHER WEEKEND

MINIMUM AGE IS 18

The Dining Services Associate is responsible for performing a variety of resident food service functions that may include patient meal service, food preparation and assembly, maintaining department and position related sanitation guidelines.

Dining Services Associate - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assess unit service needs regarding food, paper, dishware, sanitation and overall cleanliness
2. Pick-up all non-food supplies, diet list, menus, meal tickets and restock cabinets
3. Pick-up all food supplies and set-up service areas, take temps and record
4. Serve resident meals according to meal order taken by CNA
5. Clean service areas including all utensils, trash and service carts after each meal
6. Return soiled items and unused food to dish room after each meal
7. All service items are cleaned and sanitized by following dish machine process after each meal
8. Return all serving utensils, pan/pots to appropriate unit after each meal
9. Take inventory of all items needed for next shift and place into unit mailbox located in the kitchen
10. Complete unit sanitation checklist and give to supervisor before leaving for the day
11. Performs other duties as assigned
