Job summary

Yona is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team and support warm, friendly hospitality for residents, visitors, and colleagues. You will assist with meal prep, dining service, and maintaining clean, organized dining and kitchen areas.

Responsibilities include setting up dining spaces, delivering meals, stocking ingredients, and supporting menu planning under supervision. Prior experience and strong communication help ensure a safe, sanitary environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide.
• Experience in customer service is appreciated.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or other dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
