Job summary

Covenant Living of the Great Lakes – Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Dining Services Aide to provide efficient and courteous dining service to residents and guests in the Healthcare Center.

You will take meal orders, wait on tables, set up and bus tables, assist with tray-line pre-service, and assemble meals while upholding sanitation, HACCP guidelines, and residents' rights; experience with older adults is preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant dining experience.
• One year experience working in a Healthcare setting.
• Ability to demonstrate reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills, required.
• Full understanding and effective application of sanitation, food borne illness, and cross-contamination policies and procedures as well as HACCP protocols.
• Knowledge of dining room operational procedures and etiquette, proper small wares handling, and residents rights.
• Willingness to work with and interact with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Wait on assigned tables.
• Take Resident meal orders.
• Set up and bus tables.
• Pre-service setup of tray-line.
• Assembling individual meals on tray-line.
