Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Dining Services Aide to provide friendly, efficient dining service to residents and guests in the Healthcare Center dining areas, supporting meal service and setup.

The ideal candidate has dining experience, at least one year in healthcare, strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, knowledge of sanitation and HACCP, and a respect for residents' rights; willingness to interact with older adults.

Qualifications

• Relevant dining experience.
• One year experience working in a Healthcare setting.
• Ability to demonstrate effective reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills.
• Understanding and application of sanitation, food borne illness, and cross-contamination policies (HACCP).
• Knowledge of dining room procedures and etiquette; residents rights.

Responsibilities

• Wait on assigned tables.
• Take resident meal orders.
• Set up and bus tables.
• Pre-service setup of tray-line.
• Assembling individual meals on tray-line.
• Ensure all shift duties are completed before end of shift.
