Job summary

Cedarhurst Living in Missouri is seeking a Dining Server to deliver an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests, providing courteous service, maintaining cleanliness and food safety, and supporting daily meal service and special events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• Relevant state or county licensure preferred, with ability to obtain licensure if required by state.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in common digital tools and applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and web-based platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions.
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service to residents and guests.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area following all food safety standards.
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables; dispose of trash and clean containers; complete daily checklists.
• Assist with cleaning dining areas and ensure floors, tables, and chairs are kept clean.
• Maintain knowledge of responsibilities and adapt service to meet resident dining preferences.
• Support cost-control by minimizing waste and using supplies responsibly.
• Follow recipes and ingredient labels for proper preparation and consistency.
• Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Communicate menu details to residents and guests.
• Prepare and maintain table settings to Cedarhurst standards.
• Stay current on FDA and local food handling guidelines.
