Job summary

The Homestead at Rochester, operated by Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS), is seeking a Cook in Rochester, MN. This role covers food preparation for residents and families in a healthcare setting, with duties spanning lunch service, daily offerings, and greeting residents at the market bistro.

Shifts are 7am–3pm, Monday–Friday, with up to full-time hours and every other weekend. Compensation ranges from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Previous experience in fine dining preferred.
• Long-term care experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepares food meeting hospitality and service standards of the community.
• Prepares all special dietary needs as directed by the menus.
• Assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.

Schedule: Up to full time hours, every other weekend

Pay Scale: $23.00-$25.00 based on years of experience

Shift is 7am- 3pm M-F

Work in the kitchen prepping and be the market bistro server over lunch and prep the daily offerings and greet residents and families and work register.
