Job summary

The Woodlake Senior Living in Sacramento, CA is seeking a dedicated Dining Room Server to provide an extraordinary dining experience for residents. The position is part-time with competitive wages and opportunities to grow; training is available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include front-of-house service, high-quality customer service, occasional plating/tasting for quality checks, and assisting with special events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience in food service is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (pushing, pulling, bending, standing).
• Valid Food Handler Certification or in the process of obtaining it.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Handle front-of-house dining: serving, clearing, cleaning, and assisting residents with food selection and table service.
• Provide high level of customer service to residents and guests.
• Occasionally plate and/or taste food before it leaves the kitchen.
• Deliver room service trays as needed.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follow standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Complete state required training upon hire and annually.

Responsibilities of the Dining Room Server

• Responsible for front of house dining experience; serving, clearing, cleaning, and resident assistance with food selection and table service.


• Provide a high level of customer service to the Community’s residents and guests.

• Deliver room service trays as needed.

• Completes state required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.


• Be at least 18 years of age.


• Previous experience in food service is a plus.


• Ability to comfortably perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, and standing or walking for extended periods.


• Valid Food Handler Certification or in the process of obtaining it.


• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.
