Job summary

All American Assisted Living at Wrentham is seeking a part-time dining assistant to provide warm, attentive service to residents during meals. You will take orders, serve foods and beverages, and help maintain a clean and welcoming dining room.

You will greet residents, seat them, and assist in keeping the dining area orderly. This role offers a consistent weekday and weekend schedule in a climate-controlled environment, with opportunities to contribute to a compassionate, resident-centered

Qualifications

• Friendly, patient and dependable personality.
• Genuine interest in working with older adults.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Set and prepare dining room tables before meals.
• Help residents find comfortable seating.
• Take meal and beverage orders.
• Explain available menu options when needed.
• Serve meals, beverages, desserts, coffee and tea.
• Refill water and offer additional servings.
• Clear and reset tables between meals.
• Assist in the dish room, including operating the dishwasher and putting away clean dishes.
• Safely store and return walkers and other mobility devices.
• Attend required meetings and in-service training.
• Work cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and coworkers.
• Complete other dining service duties as assigned.

What You'll Do
