Job summary

All American Assisted Living is seeking a part-time dining server to join our team in MA. You will greet residents, take orders, serve meals, keep the dining room welcoming, and assist in the dish room. This role focuses on providing friendly service to older adults in a supportive community setting.

The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a caring approach, with shifts on weekdays and weekends in a climate-controlled, indoor environment suitable for team-based dining service.

Qualifications

• Friendly, patient and dependable personality.

• Ability to stay organized in a busy dining environment.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Previous restaurant, food service or wait staff experience is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Set and prepare dining room tables before meals.
• Help residents find comfortable seating.
• Take meal and beverage orders.
• Explain available menu options when needed.
• Serve meals, beverages, desserts, coffee and tea.
• Refill water and offer additional servings.
• Clear and reset tables between meals.
• Help keep the dining room clean, organized and welcoming.
• Assist in the dish room, including operating the dishwasher and putting away clean dishes.
• Safely store and return walkers and other mobility devices.
• Attend required meetings and in-service training.
• Work cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and coworkers.
• Complete other dining service duties as assigned.
