Job summary

Bentley Commons at Lynchburg in Lynchburg, VA seeks a friendly dining assistant to greet residents, take orders, serve meals, and keep the dining room welcoming.

You will set tables, help residents find seating, refill drinks, clear tables, assist in the dish room, and ensure safe handling of mobility devices. No prior experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Set and prepare dining room tables before meals.
• Help residents find comfortable seating.
• Take meal and beverage orders; serve meals, beverages, desserts, coffee and tea.
• Refill water and offer additional servings.
• Clear and reset tables between meals.
• Help keep the dining room clean, organized and welcoming.
• Assist in the dish room, including operating the dishwasher and putting away clean dishes.
• Safely store and return walkers and other mobility devices.
• Attend required meetings and in-service training.
• Work cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and coworkers.
• Complete other dining service duties as assigned.
