Job summary

Syracuse University is seeking a Non Food Handler in its dining facilities to operate a dishwashing machine, load and unload dishes, pots and utensils, and help maintain clean tables and service areas.

You will follow written instructions, record temperatures on equipment, and uphold high standards of sanitation while assisting with routine cleaning, stocking milk and beverages, and moving supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Record temperatures on dish machines, freezers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Load and operate a dishwashing machine.
• Remove and store washed dishes, glasses, cups, silverware, etc.
• Wash pots, pans and cooking utensils.
• Mop floors, wash walls windows, cabinets, shelves, equipment, etc., including locker room and bathroom areas.
• Clear and clean tables and dispose of trash and garbage.
• Observe safety and health regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation.
• May move materials into and out of storage area.
• May fill milk and beverage dispensers and replenish as needed.
