Job summary

UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services (H&HS) is seeking a Dining Floor Supervisor to lead dining area teams and oversee meal service, ensuring top-notch guest service and adherence to food safety standards.

You will support Assist Food & Beverage managers with alcoholic beverage service, manage workflow during peak periods, and help maintain a welcoming, efficient dining environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication with diverse populations; culturally responsive.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse populations.
• Ability to complete a large volume of diverse tasks efficiently, with interruptions and changing priorities.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with guests, staff, and managers in a high-volume setting.
• Experience supervising staff and delegating tasks to meet department goals.
• Cost and inventory control across food, labor, and supplies.
• Proficient use of standard business software and hospitality software.
• Clear, grammatically correct business English writing for schedules and memos.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation rules in food service facilities.
• Preferred: knowledge of alcoholic beverages.
